Sabrina Salerno

Sabrina Salerno was born on 15/3/1968 in Genoa, Italy. She is well known for being an Italian singer, actress, songwriter, a record producer as well as a tv hostess/presenter.

Sabrina began her modelling career after she won a beauty contest in Liguria where she lived. Then in the year 1985 she appeared on Premiatissima, a popular italian tv show on the station Canale 5. In 1986 she released a single “Sexy Girl”, in English, which was a big hit both in Italy as well as in Germany.

The following year she released her first album called “Sabrina”, which was all in English too. This release included her massive hit “Boys (Summertime Love)” which was number 1 in Spain, Switzerland and fRance as well as number 3 in the Singles Chart of the UK. “Boys” sold more than 1.5 million copies all over the world to date. The video for “Boys” which you can see below was banned in the uk by the BBC before it was censored. The reason being that the video showed Sabrina dancing wearing a bikini which kept slipping down – a wardrobe malfunction – and some nipple was revealed. Seems like Youtube censored the video too, so here’s another link for you.
